WHAT
•The World of Outlaws return to Jackson Speedway in Minnesota this weekend for the first time since 2006, as the series invades the historic half-mile on Saturday, May 1. The event will begin a busy month of May, which will see the World of Outlaws compete 10 times at eight different tracks in five states. Following a rainout last weekend, Jason Meyers continues to lead the series standings on the strength of four wins and 12 Top-10 finishes in 12 events. The California native has a 17-point advantage over Joey Saldana, who has won three times this year. Both drivers will be seeking their first win at Jackson Speedway. Steve Kinser, the 20-time World of Outlaws champion, is currently third in points and has won twice with the series at Jackson Speedway, while his teammate four-time and defending series champion Donny Schatz won the series most recent event at the half-mile in 2006.
WHEN
•On Saturday, May 1 at Jackson Speedway, the pit gates will open at 2 p.m. Central, with the grandstand gates opening at 4 p.m. Central and hot laps are set for 6 p.m. Central with time trials to follow. Racing is set for 7:30 p.m. Central.
WHERE
• Jackson Speedway is located in Jackson, Minnesota. Travel ¼-mile south of I-90 (exit 73) on U.S. 71, then one mile east on CR 38, then one mile south on CR 51 (at the Jackson County Fairgrounds).
TICKETS
•On Saturday, May 1 at Jackson Speedway, adult general admission tickets will be $30 in advance and $35 the day of the race, with general admission tickets for kids ages 6-12 $15 in advance and $15 the day of the race, with children ages 5-under admitted free of charge. Adult reserved tickets will be $33 in advance and $35 the day of the race with reserved tickets for kids ages 12-under $15 in advance and $15 the day of the race.
